| Q |
Why is Topocean’s “one-stop” shop approach to logistics technology so valuable?
|
| A |
Our logistics technology service is designed for ease of
use and client convenience. Our design principle is for
the user to be able to access all the data they need from
one convenient source rather than having to navigate the
applications and tracking systems of multiple points along
their supply chain. We believe the proprietary system we
have developed satisfies the data needs of all stakeholders,
from factories to buyers to finance departments. From our
standpoint this kind of cross-modal service offering adds
value both by its ease of use and the complexity of the
data it manages.

| Q |
How can I book my freight?
|
| A |
Topocean has a web-based booking interface (WBI) our
vendor clients can use to bring their factories online
by making bookings via the Internet. This ability to
make bookings online makes the entire booking process
(bookings, booking confirmations, carrier S/O, shipping
documents, POs and carrier contract fulfillment)
transparent to all users. To get started, just click
on the “Vendor Access” login link on the upper left
side of Topocean.com.

| Q |
How do I manage my shipments?
|
| A |
Our shipment management system, which users can
access directly from topocean.com, is a web enabled
purchase order system known as TOPOL (Topocean
Purchase Order Locator). Clients and Topocean staff
access the system via a secure login. TOPOL’s home
page is a dashboard allowing the user to see all
active shipments with a single glance. The benefits
of this system include:
- VISIBILITY:
See all your PO, SKU and container details as
they move from the factory through the supply chain.
- CONTROL: Manage
all your data as the order and/or container moves
through the supply chain. Additionally, our systems
will alert designated users of any important shipping
event (i.e., container delays, etc).
- ORGANIZATION:
Use these tools to easily analyze, sort
and identify trends in your shipments
- CONSISTENCY:
Assign anyone to manage inbound shipments.
To access TOPOL, just click on “Shipment Management”
on the upper left side of topocean.com.

How does 11D work?
|
| A |
11D gives customers access to shipment information
directly and prompt answers to their data queries
about the location of specific shipments. The user
can simply query a master bill of lading, house bill
of lading or container number and immediately have

in a downloadable report. You can get your 11D
report by clicking on the “11D” link on the upper

What is ISF (10+2)?
|
| A |
The US Department of Homeland Security expects all
maritime cargo headed to the United State have on
file an ISF (10+2) no later than 24 hours before
the cargo is laden aboard a vessel destined for the
US. The ISF (10+2) requires carriers submit a vessel
stow plan and container status message daily for
cargo meeting DHS specifications for this requirement.
Our clients can log into our ISF system and rest assured
that this important paperwork is file and sent
to the relevant agencies.

What is WMS?
|
| A |
WMS is our Warehouse Management System; it allows
users to build customized reports able to catalogue
and track their cargo and inventory as it moves
through the logistics center. This powerful and
user-friendly tool makes it easy for our customers
to oversee the deconsolidation or consolidation of
their freight without having to step foot into the
warehouse.
